HeartSong Sacred Singing

A spiritually focused group in which your soul sound can be expressed and explored; sound that arises from deep silence, in toning, singing healing songs and chants and vocal improvisation.  I have been working with meditation and sacred song for over 20 years and have been running Sacred Singing gatherings since 2000, and am often in awe of the powerful energetic space we create together.   Please see below for feedback and examples of some of the songs we sing together.

HeartSong in Lancaster in North West England is at least a monthly Meditation and Chanting group, linked with Moon cycles and the energy of Nature, focussed in Celtic festivals.  We sing songs from various traditions, and explore sound healing and improvisation.  I also run Occasional Day Workshops throughout the North-West UK, such as Healing with Your Heartsong and Sounding the Chakras…..

Heartsong creates a space of healing and transformation for people, taking the participants beyond their sense of themselves and their abilities, and putting them in touch with voice and a sound that is bigger and more powerful – rising out of a deeper sense of silence.  It is really a kind of ritual work, Heartsong is linked in with the power of the New and Full Moons, reminding us of our connection to the Earth, to Spirit and to each other, and focussing energies for Earth healing.   We intend to channel healing for participants and for the planet, and we connect with a global Earth healing network of Full Moon Meditations.

The next HeartSong evening will be on Thursday 22nd November 2018

Full Moon Heartsong

This Heartsong session will take place a few hours before the November full moon, a powerful energetic time to come together and gather in sacred community.

We will start with a simple practice of clearing the chakras by sounding sacred vowels. We will sing beautiful chants and songs that come from Hinduism, Paganism and Earth Spirituality, Buddhism, Christianity and Sufism. We will also be exploring the freedom and power of group improvisation and sound healing, and sharing in the healing of silent meditation and reflection. We will be creating and sharing together.

Room 1 is on the ground floor and is fully accessible.  There is disabled parking at the Meeting House, which is right beside the train station.  Nearby parking is available on Wheatfield Street, or on the railway bridge, or (paid) in Dallas Road Car Park, or the Train Station.

2018/ 2019 Day Workshops:

I am available to run weekend, day or session workshops to explore Voicework, Sacred Song, Ritual and Energy work such as sounding for the Chakras.  These sessions are a powerful opportunity to work deeply with your energy body and voice in a safe, held group space. The facilitator, Bryony Rogers, has many years experience working with voice and healing, and has led successful Voice and deep chakra workshops before. Here is some feedback from some of her participants:

“ Bryony held the space in the energy of generosity and warmth. I felt safe to release my voice from old fear and shame and have fun, even laugh. I was able to experience and share the beauty of my voice raised alongside others in simple and joyful harmony. The group went to a safe heart space together and I can’t wait for the next one – truly divine”. Frith, Lancaster.

“These workshops give me a chance to be free with my voice in a close, supportive setting, where people are not competing with each other, but rather contributing to a uniquely collective gathering, and in which participants are free to explore voice work, chant together & share food – what’s not to like?!  Bryony is a kind and welcoming host & facilitator” (Mary)

Bryony will be drawing on her training and extensive experience in healing and with the energy body (NFSH level 4 and Reiki level 2 training and practice of over twenty years) and training in Naked Voice (UK) and SpiritSong (USA) techniques, working with the voice and leading Heartsong since 2000.
